Beautifully restored, this Self catering cottage features a high vaulted ceiling in the main living area. The cottage provides a unique Irish holiday experience in a tranquil rural setting.

Thanks so much for a lovely week at the cottage – it was a great place and views amazing around the locality. Fishing, sightseeing, picnics, beach, swims, walks and the great fish and chips Vans made our week super. The fab horses/pony out back were great for my granddaughter too.

“Almost Heaven”

We checked out of Ray thatched cottage this morning after a weeks stay. There is a plaque in the house that says “Almost Heaven”, well we think that it is heaven! We just loved it – a magic place to stay. The nature, the homeliness, the donkey, the horses, the river, the open fire, the sense of peace…. Thank you to you and the owner. We can only dream of returning….

Ray Thatched Cottage and it’s setting was just perfect….we didn’t want to leave. It was so peaceful and we were very lucky with the weather (we had Sunday dinner outside) We will definitely be booking again and indeed recommending the cottage.

A belated but heartfelt thanks for a super week at Ray Cottage. We loved the house, the setting and the atmosphere. The house was really clean and well equipped. We loved lighting a turf fire in the evenings after long days exploring beaches and forests and Glenveagh. The friendly neighbouring pony was a highlight for the kids.
Hopefully, you will have us back again soon.
